Connecting with the Next Generation at the Hanover Career Fair
We had a great experience connecting with the next generation of builders at the Hanover Career Fair.
Eliseth Barajas, HR Generalist, and Ronnie Strain, Yard & Logistics Manager, spoke with more than 60 students about careers in construction, from roofing and skilled trades to construction management. We loved seeing so many young women stopping by our table, and one student didn’t hesitate to say, “I want to be a roofer!”
Our conversations were not about recruiting. They were about listening, answering questions, and helping students understand the different paths available. Whether college is the right fit or the skilled trades are calling, there is more than one way to build a successful career.
It was especially meaningful for Ronnie to return to his alma mater, reconnect with former teachers, and give back in a way that supports students exploring their future.
