Field Spotlight: Hans Fazekas, Sheet Metal Foreman
Hans was nominated three times this month by three different people, each highlighting the same thing. His consistency, his communication, and the way he genuinely looks out for others.
As one of his nominators shared, people do their best work when they feel safe and supported, and that is something Hans puts into practice every day. When he notices a teammate might be struggling, he takes a moment to check in. He asks how they are doing, not just physically, but mentally too. In an industry where people do not always feel comfortable speaking up, those small conversations can make a meaningful difference.
On the jobsite, Hans leads with professionalism and accountability. He takes time to clearly explain his team’s scope of work, walks through the safety measures in place, and owns his responsibilities. During site audits and day to day interactions, he is always willing to stop, listen, and ask if there is a better or safer way to approach the work.
Hans’s leadership is built on trust, care, and respect. He creates a jobsite culture where safety goes beyond the task at hand and includes looking out for one another.
