Korellis recently had the privilege of working on St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, a historic gem in Michigan City. Established in 1867, this stunning Gothic-style church has served as a spiritual and architectural icon for over 150 years. It features intricate stained-glass windows from Munich, Germany, and remarkable artistry throughout, making it a true treasure of the community.
Our team addressed snow-related property damage by installing snow guards and cleaning gutters on the church, rectory, and Angela House. Copper gutter on the church and copper fascia repairs on the school were also completed by our skilled sheet metal team. With safety precautions in place to navigate tight spaces and power lines, we overcame challenges like sourcing matching slate tilesโa rare material these daysโto ensure seamless restoration.
Special thanks to Sheet Metal Foreman Brook Middlebrook and Lead Service Technician Nick Zwart, whose expertise ensured the projectโs success. The customerโs praise said it best: โWeโre in good hands.โ
We are proud to help preserve this historic landmark, blending modern craftsmanship with a deep respect for its legacy.
